Celebrating and Preserving History, with Judge Anthony Frohlich

Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County (@FlorenceRotary), on Monday, May 20, 2024, at noon to hear retired Judge Anthony Frohlich, current Chair of the Boone County Archive Commission, discussing the 225th Anniversary of Boone County, the 250th Anniversary of Declaration of Independence and the creation of Boone County Borderlands Archive and History Center.

Anthony W. Frohlich is a retired judge who currently works for the state of Kentucky as a Felony Judge Mediator. He previously served as Chief Circuit Judge for Kentucky’s 54th Judicial Circuit (Boone and Gallatin Counties). He had a private law practice for twenty-four years prior to taking the bench. Judge Frohlich also served as a Master Commissioner, Domestic Relations Commissioner and an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney. He is a 1976 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Northern Kentucky University and graduated first in his class from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1980.

Judge Frohlich has held numerous civic and legal positions. Some of them include serving as President of the Salmon P. Chase Inn of Court and the Chase Board of Governors. He is a founding partner of Chase’s Center for Excellence in Advocacy and currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was the originator of the Felony Mediation Program that have been adopted in the state of Kentucky as well as in other jurisdictions. He has served as a visiting law professor.

His honors have included The Kentucky Bar Association Distinguished Judge of the Year Award, The Kentucky Justice Association Trial Judge of the Year Award, Northern Kentucky University Outstanding Alumnus Award, Salmon P. Chase Lifetime Achievement Award, Boone County Historic Preservation Board’s Adaptation Preservation Award, Anne Fitzgerald Research Award, Boy Scouts of America’s Award of Merit and Leadership and Bruce Ferguson Award for Sustained Excellence in Historic Preservation. He has authored a number of books and publications in the areas of law, history and soccer. One of his books received a Kentucky Historical Society book of the year award. In the area of soccer, he holds national coaching licenses from the United States Soccer Federation and The National Coaches Association, and was the head coach of the USA National DHL Men’s team in the DHL World Championship in Belgium in 1999 and 2000.
